How To Balance Flash and Christmas Tree Lights

Now that Thanksgiving is over, we are ready for the holiday season. For photographers this can be a really busy time of year. One of the requests I get a lot this time of year is taking pictures of families in their homes in front of their Christmas trees!

These can be really beautiful, festive photos BUT lighting them is difficult. How do you expose for the Christmas tree without leaving the subjects in shadow? How do you avoid that flashy look?

The answer: you need to learn to balance off camera flash with Christmas tree lights.
Keep listening to learn exactly how to master this tricky lighting situation!

If you really want to learn how to master using strobes and flash on location, I have the resource for you!

I’ve put together a class specifically for in home photographers, call Lighting On Location. This class teaches in home photographers how to confidently use off camera flash, even when working outside their studio! It’s perfect for newborn and family photographers who are tired of struggling with changing light conditions, even when indoors.
